Michigan —"Christian Record Services (CRS) for the blind has some wonderful people supporting this worthy cause, and we appreciate each one,” said Joan Petty, former CRS director for southeastern Michigan. “However, Barbara McKay just seems to stand out as that special person in this area, and we wanted her to know that.”

CRS provides wholesome reading materials for the visually impaired as well as both summer and winter camp activities. Whenever McKay learned of someone who needed CRS services, she would put CRS in touch with them. “Barbara is concerned about the whole person,” says Petty. “She was always interested in learning how many people in this area were receiving our services. She wanted to be sure the clients were getting the reading materials and going to camp. That’s the kind of dedication that we wanted to honor with this certificate.”

“I was pleasantly surprised,” says McKay about receiving the certificate of appreciation, “and glad I am able to help those less fortunate in some way."
