Andrews University's Passion
The second annual Easter Passion Play at Andrews University, Apr. 10–11, drew a record crowd of about 9,500 visitors. The play depicted stories from the ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus. But it was much more than just stories about forgiving the woman caught in adultery, or Christ's anguish in the Garden of Gethsemane, or even the glory of the resurrection. There were also stories about the people that Christ touched as a result of viewing the Passion Play.
There was the woman who had left the church and then decided to rededicate her life, and now her husband is having Bible studies as well. The student who learned that he had to be torn down for Christ to be built up. And the many who attended and wrote comments in the guest book after the play, such as: "This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life!" and "I was caught up as if I had been there, feeling everything!"
Christ was uplifted, and that is Andrews University's passion!
