The president of the North American Division (NAD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Don Schneider, along with the two NAD publishing housesPacific Press and Review and Heraldhave teamed up in a bold new evangelism initiative to blanket North America with Adventist literature. The initiative is called Seven in Seven in 2007.
Seven in Seven is a simple plan to spread the gospel by encouraging each Seventh-day Adventist church member in the NAD to distribute seven pieces of literature in seven days. Seven in Seven will take place April 714. Schneider says, Please join me in being a part of Seven in Seven in 2007. Im going to give at least one piece of literature each day during April 714. If every church member in North America shares just one piece of literature a day for seven days, we could distribute 7 million pieces of literature. That means 7 million contacts for Christ in just one week! Imagine what God can do with that.
At recent meetings, NAD leadership announced that church growth in the NAD has declined to only 1.4 percent. Literature evangelism is one way we can help grow the church membership in the NAD.
Dale Galusha, president of Pacific Press, said, Our church has produced some fantastic literature designed to be shared with friends, co-workers, family, and neighbors. Visit your local Adventist Book Center to see the sharing materials available to you. Then begin each day during April 714 with prayer, asking God to direct you to someone who needs encouragement, and He will bring someone into your life that needs the literature you have.
