Eighteen Teams Head to Camp Wagner for Union-Level Pathfinder Bible Experience 

Representing Illinois, Indiana, Lake Region, Michigan and Wisconsin, the teams earned their place at the Lake Union event after advancing through area and conference-level testing. At the union level, each six-member team will answer 90 questions from Isaiah 1–33 and the corresponding Bible commentary. Teams that finish within 90 percent of the top score will qualify to participate at the North American Division level. 

Pathfinder Bible Experience, often known as PBE, remains one of the most spiritually formative programs in club ministry, said Craig Harris, Lake Union Club Ministry coordinator. 

“Pathfinder Bible Experience is one of the most meaningful programs in Pathfindering because it does far more than prepare young people for a testing event,” Harris said. “It strengthens their knowledge of Scripture, builds their confidence and helps them develop a lifelong commitment to God’s Word.” 

This year’s participants have immersed themselves in Isaiah chapters 1–33, with many of the Pathfinders who advanced to higher levels memorizing four to five full chapters of the Bible. The experience encourages not only biblical knowledge, but also teamwork, discipline and deeper spiritual growth. 

The Pathfinders began by testing their Bible knowledge at area level. From there, qualifying teams move to the conference level, then to the union level and, for top-scoring teams, the division event comes next. 

Harris said PBE’s influence reaches well beyond the competition itself. 

“One of the most exciting things about Pathfinder Bible Experience is seeing how it helps a new generation build friendships, sharpen their minds and fall in love with Scripture,” Harris said. “Our prayer is that their study of Isaiah will keep blessing their lives far beyond the testing room.”
