You may be wondering, “What is going on with teenagers these days! Why would anybody purposefully cut themselves?” I know that was my first response when I learned about self-harm among teenagers in the early part of my clinical social work career.
The pandemic caused losses of various kinds for everyone. Many people lost loved ones. Others lost their houses and employment. Our kids experienced learning losses.
Her husband had recently died unexpectedly. Her own health had been deteriorating for some time.
God has called parents to disciple their children. Although many people play a role in discipling children, parents have the largest influence in shaping a child’s religiosity.
