In January of this year the Lake Union decided to do something different for our annual Lake Union conference officers’ retreat.
God was, and still is, pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh.
Some Seventh-day Adventists have the idea that camp meetings are unique to our movement. Actually, North American camp meetings have their origins in the religious life of the American frontier at a time when the population was spread over vast areas with few ministers to serve the sparse population.
This issue of the Lake Union Herald features a very important program of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, that of the PARL Department. You might ask, What is PARL? Here is a short answer right off the General Conference PARL website:
