Center for Youth Evangelism welcomes new Children’s Ministries director

Some people choose to work in Children Ministries. However, God also chooses every mother to lead their own children to Christ.

That is the case with Gretel Dupertuis, from Argentina. She lives near Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan with her husband Nestor, and her boys Harald (10) and Eirik (8). Working in Adventist Education as an Admin Assistant, Gretel saw first-hand what brings students to Christ.

As her boys were grew, Gretel actively worked every year in Children Sabbath Schools, Adventurers, and Pathfinders, as well as cultivated the daily experience of a Christian home. All of these years of local leadership lead Gretel to accept the volunteer Children Ministry position for the Center for Youth Evangelism and the Lake Union. The volunteer Children’s Ministry director works with the executive director of the Center for Youth Evangelism and the North American Division’s children’s ministries to provide support and resources for children’s ministries leaders in the Lake Union and under the influence of the Center for Youth Evangelism.

These duties may include, but are not limited to the following

  • Preparing and publishing a quarterly newsletter
  • Providing support via social media
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating an annual children’s ministries conference to provide NAD children’s ministries training
  • Providing other opportunities for networking, training, support, and resource dissemination to children’s ministries leaders
  • Facilitating a regular children’s ministry advisory with children’s ministries directors from conferences in the Lake Union

We are happy to welcome her to our team!
