More than 100 received free eye and dental care at a wellness clinic hosted by Chicago's Shiloh Church last weekend

William Lee, senior pastor of the Shiloh Church said, “It is such a joy to partner with the Lake Union and local community partners to provide our church and community with such vital physical, mental, and spiritual care. We were also able to pray with several individuals and provide our literature to them throughout the health expo.”

This free clinic, overseen by Randy Griffin, director of the Lake Union Conference’s Adventist Health Initiative provides the equipment while local churches provide the volunteers. Griffin said he frequently hears from patients that they are appreciative of the free services since high medical costs makes it prohibitive to receive proper treatment.

Lee, who has hosted other health clinics with Griffin, said:Each time we provide this service I’m reminded of Ministry of Healing, p. 143, “Christ's method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Savior mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, "Follow Me."
