While many families and young people are at home, they are looking for quality and constructive activities to pass the time.  As such, the Lake Union Youth Directors thought the Adventurer Awards and Pathfinder Honors are the perfect anecdote for this challenge.

The Lake Union Youth Directors are excited to introduce a new youth ministries online learning opportunity entitled - Club Ministries Academy. This academy will provide expert instruction on a weekly basis during the Covid-19 epidemic and is anticipated to provide instruction for both Pathfinder Honors and Adventurer Awards, both now and ongoing.

Under the vision and direction of Abraham Henry, Lake Region Youth Director, and the Lake Region Pathfinder Coordinator, Eric Jean-Baptist, they have piloted this online training program with great success.

How does it work?

These classes will be taught “live” and online.  Adventurer Parents and Pathfinders will RSVP to the invitation and will receive an email with all of the pertinent information for the class.  Certificates and Partial Certificates of Completion are awarded based on their online workbook responses.  The certificates are to be turned to the local club director to order the appropriate patches.

Henry said that they're excited to partner with Lake Union Conference youth ministries to assist local clubs by providing them with online Pathfinder educational resources. "We genuinely believe this will be a gift and asset to the Lake Union and beyond."

For a schedule of the upcoming classes, this new online academy can be found at www.luclubministriesacademy.org
