Dr. Ted Wilson, President of the Seventh-day Adventist world church, visited Berrien Springs, Michigan, March 2-4 and during his Sabbath morning message at the Village Church encouraged believers to know and share Jesus through Scripture. His sermon can be accessed at www.villagesda.org/march2
During Sabbath School, Wilson visited the young adults and youth, answering their questions about how much he travels, what he thinks about the future of literature outreach, what the world the church is doing about Venezuela, etc.
In the afternoon Andrews University hosted a Q&A session at Pioneer Memorial Church with Elder Wilson, giving students, faculty, and community members a chance to ask questions about mission and unity in the world church. The Q&A moderated by Dr. Andrea Luxton was preceded by General Conference updates on mission. Through video Mike Ryan reported on how God is working in the Euro-Asia division in the former Soviet Union. Jim Howard from the GC Personal Ministries Department presented recently developed resources and goals for "Total Member Involvement" on a local church level.
Wilson shared memories as a seminary student at Andrews and expressed appreciation for all that Andrews University does for the world church. Q&A time included questions on social justice, women in ministry, the doctrine of the trinity and more. The afternoon recording can be listened to at www.facebook.com/pastortedwilson
